REVIEW: Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains

Collaboration with Maia Senderowitsc

I have a confession to make. I am addicted to lipsticks. Especially matte ones, so you can imagine my excitement when Sephora sent us two new spring shades of their Cream Lip Stains collection to try.

I immediately went online to check them out online and according to the description in Sephora’s website these lip stains are supposed to last from AM to PM without having to reapply through the day- Even more exciting!! A lip stain that will last all day and I won’t have to reapply? Dream come true.

So like I said I got two shades. Number 40 Pink Tea, a nude/mauve color that’s perfect for the spring season or to achieve the natural look. The second shade I got was number 42 Rose Wood, a burgundy/maroon color that will be the best accessory for your winter wardrobe.

Let’s get to business. I started with the Pink Tea shade and I loved it. It was the perfect mix of nude and pink without looking too “old lady.” The next day I tried the Rose Wood and I fell in love. This color was amazing!  It was richly pigmented and I only needed one coat. Plus I got a lot of compliments on it 🙂 Definitely a keeper.

They lip stains come in 40 different shades, from nudes, pinks, reds to the bold colors like blue, green and black.  They go on wet and smooth on the lips and change from a creamy texture into a silky, long lasting lip stain. Oh! And they are only $14!

The only disappointment was that they didn’t stay as long as promised. After I had lunch (a salad and a sandwich) both colors needed to be retouched, especially in the inside of my lips.

With that said, it’s more than likely that you’ll find me in Sephora buying and trying on all the colors of the collection.
