Winter is here and by the amount of snow this past week it’s far from over. But that didn’t stop Gionna Nicole, the designer behind the swimwear brand Avid Swim from showing her vision for the hot season in a sexy runway show for NYFW.
The resort collection titled Cadiz was very influenced by the Spanish port city known for its beautiful beaches. The bright colors and innovative shapes made the collection stand out in a sea of bikinis and one pieces.
The collection was heavily influenced by the tribal print created by a mosaic of patterns in different shapes and colors. Most of the pieces were bikinis and monokinis with cut- outs that accentuated the women’s body. But the show stealer was a burka- styled swimsuit that walked the runway and left all the attendees in awe. What a way to make a statement!
Oh, and for all you men out there, Avid Swim didn’t leave you out, the summer is going to be as colorful as it is for us women, with swim fitted swim trunks made with the same colorful tribal inspired fabric.
The countdown for swimwear season has already begun…
