Pharrell’s New Gabrielle Chanel Bag Campaign

Pharrell recently made headlines when he was announced as the first male to model a Chanel bag for a campaign. He also modeled in the luxury brand’s Métiers d’Art show in Paris, and he’s now the star of a campaign film that features the new Chanel Gabrielle bag.

Last month, I wrote an article about these videos that would be released. Back then, we had only seen the trailers. In this short and fun video that was finally released today, Pharrell transforms the empty concert hall into his playground. He carries a Chanel bag while walking on a very precarious beam mid-air. A kind of creepy, but very adorable, little kid claps for him when he makes it off, and shows off “Gabrielle” written on his tiny baby hands.

I would risk my life for a Chanel bag, too. Watch the whole video below.

  • As a current college student, I’m majoring in Creative Writing and Sociology, and starting my career in fashion. I’ve always been extremely involved in the arts, so I have a deeply personal appreciation for creative expression. Starting from a young age, I used music, writing, and fashion as an outlet. In my spare time, I like to exercise, read, fantasize about traveling around the world, play with my adorable dog, and spend way too much money online shopping. My ultimate goal is to be the next Anna Wintour, while owning my own non-profit organization and living in New York City.
