Winter Fashion for Storm Stella

Ah, remember when it was 70 degrees and sunny in February here in New York? I was hoping that spring would start early, but late last night, Winter Storm Stella began and there were 12 to 24 inches of snow expected to hit the East Coast. Many schools and offices had snow days, which means sitting around and more time for online shopping! In this weather, clothing need to be practical, but that doesn’t mean that we all need to look like human marshmallows. Here are some coats and accessories to combine fashion and warmth when you venture out into the wonderland.

This coat is for all you long-legged beauties. At my petite 5’2 (and ¾) height, I dream about pulling off a piece like this, so enjoy it.

If it’s stopped snowing, this Alexander Wang coat is a perfect choice. Although it reminds me slightly of a robe, I love the fact that it doesn’t LOOK like a coat, and the fringe at the bottom incorporates a popular trend.

The Burberry scarves are a timeless classic, and will always be an elegant, fitting accessory to any winter outfit.

This simple and fuzzy beanie will keep your head warm and stylish. In a neutral color, it will also match most of your outfits! The model may be wearing tiny shorts, but I promise it’ll look good with your winter clothing too.

These Steve Madden boots have the metallic and fur trends, and they’re weatherproof, so you can trek through the snow if you want to be brave!

  • As a current college student, I’m majoring in Creative Writing and Sociology, and starting my career in fashion. I’ve always been extremely involved in the arts, so I have a deeply personal appreciation for creative expression. Starting from a young age, I used music, writing, and fashion as an outlet. In my spare time, I like to exercise, read, fantasize about traveling around the world, play with my adorable dog, and spend way too much money online shopping. My ultimate goal is to be the next Anna Wintour, while owning my own non-profit organization and living in New York City.
