Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2018

Tommy Hilfiger is the epitome of posh and preppy fashion, and their menswear collection for spring  2018 included everything we would want to see in a Tommy Hilfiger collection; collared polo shirts, smart trousers, and lots of layering were definately staples of this collection, but we were also given more of a leisurely take on the classic style. Jackets and shirts were oversized, and silk bomber jackets paired with leather jackets were added to breathe some current fashion trends into the classic brand.

I think the biggest highlight in the collection is that Tommy Hilfiger effortly mixed mixed the classic posh style they’re known for, with newer trends that reflect a more relaxed and youthful aesthetic. Bucket hats, camouflage print, and windbreakers worn under tailored blazers made for an interesting combination that was was fashion-forward, but still wearable. I loved the different tones of blue

The thing I will always love about Tommy Hilfiger as a brand, is that they do not sacrifice their personal aesthetic for the sake of fleeting trends, but can still incorporate things that are popular into their brand. I really loved the long overcoats and denim jackets, paired with joggers or shorts, the result was still pulled together and slightly dapper, but it had this relaxed aura. This collection is a great example of what makes Tommy Hilfiger iconic, the ability to effortly mix styles together, and create something that instantly becomes a classic.
