GANNI Unveils Collaboration with Ahluwalia
Who: Ganni
What: Collaboration with Ahluwalia
Where: In GANNI stores globally and on Ganni.com Friday, April 23
Why: Beloved Danish fashion brand Ganni announced a two-part collaboration with London-based menswear designer Priya Ahluwalia and her eponymous label, Ahluwalia. Known for her menswear designs that infuse her dual Indian-Nigerian heritage with 90s London underground cool, Ahluwalia brings her signature wavy pattern blocking and unexpected color combinations to Ganni’s tried and true “Scandi cool.” Ganni and Ahluwalia reworked several signature Ganni silhouettes, including a slip dress, a mini skirt, and two-piece sets that repurposed deadstock fabrics from 2020 collections that didn’t sell due to the pandemic, a critical point for Ahluwalia when she started working with the brand. Prices range from $100 to $1,350, available worldwide on Friday, April 23rd.
Alaïa Presents ‘Relax’ Capsule

Why: Azzedine Alaïa introduced the Relax knitwear in his Spring-Summer 1992 collection, a close-knit fabric he named the “Yarn of Serenity” for its snug comfort and body-hugging technology. The fabric itself is made of 94% ENKA viscose that is sourced from wood using sustainable forestry, and is in line with Alaïa’s impeccable craftsmanship.
Balmain Releases Maluma Collaboration
Who: Balmain
What: Collaboration with Maluma
Where: Available on Balmain.com
Why: Pre-pandemic, Colombian hitmaker and heartthrob Maluma collaborated with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing to create looks for his 2020 tour. It was eventually canceled, but the two felt that they still wanted to share the wardrobe they created together. Balmain is releasing a limited-edition run of the pieces they created for Papí Juancho’s Miami Vice-inspired tour, with vibrant neon shirts and a pair of one-of-a-kind sneakers that speak to Maluma’s eccentric, streetwear-based style. In tandem with the collaboration, Balmain has pulled together a selection of music that influenced the collection in a special playlist that is available now on Apple Music.

Celine Collaborates with Artist Tyson Reeder
Who: CELINE
What: Collaboration with Tyson Reeder
Where: In stores and online at Celine.com
Why: Hedi Slimane’s SS21 “Dancing Kid” collection for Celine Homme was inspired by vibrant party wear, skater boys and the e-boy (read: TikTok) generation. Slimane partnered with American artist Tyson Reeder, known for his evocative, vivacious prints and artworks, to create a print perfect for this collection of easy, breathable, Instagrammable pieces. Reeder’s Autobahn print can be found on a chic windbreaker, a loose short sleeve Hawaiian cut shirt (Rihanna has already worn it, of course), and a stylish bucket hat. The tropical print evokes the best of retro Miami with California ease, injecting the perfect dose of beachside cool and arthouse dynamism into the collection.
