Milan became the center of the fashion universe on September 22 as Vogue World: Milano 2026 transformed the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II into a spectacular runway celebrating Italian craftsmanship, heritage and imagination.
The fifth edition of Vogue World explored the story of “Made in Italy” through five theatrical acts, moving from Renaissance-inspired craftsmanship to a vision of fashion’s technological future. But amid the extraordinary clothes, models and performances, another story stood out: the significant presence of Latino talent on the runway.
Jennifer Lopez Brings La Dolce Vita to Milan
Few stars embody old-school glamour with a modern sensibility quite like Jennifer Lopez.
The Puerto Rican-American superstar arrived wearing a dramatic black Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring tulle, sparkling embellishments and sheer opera gloves, paired with statement jewelry and classic waves. Later, Lopez became part of the show itself during its third act, stepping onto the runway in a moment inspired by the cinematic glamour associated with Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita.
Her beauty look continued the theme: glossy hair, softly glamorous makeup and a polished peach manicure added to an aesthetic that felt unmistakably Italian while remaining quintessentially J.Lo.
Lopez has had a long relationship with Dolce & Gabbana, and the pairing felt particularly appropriate for an evening dedicated to celebrating Italian fashion craftsmanship.
J Balvin Makes a Regal Entrance
J Balvin brought Colombian star power to the opening portion of the show.
The global music artist appeared during Act I: The Artisanal Revolution, wearing a three-piece Dolce & Gabbana suit. The section celebrated traditional Italian craftsmanship through elements including velvet, brocade, lace, embroidery and elaborate handwork.
Balvin’s appearance also reflected just how closely fashion and Latin music have become intertwined on the international stage. Long recognized for experimenting with color, silhouettes and luxury fashion, he looked completely at home on one of Milan’s most ambitious runways.
Cardi B Goes Full Versace
Bronx-born Cardi B, who has proudly spoken about her Dominican and Trinidadian heritage, delivered one of the evening’s boldest fashion moments.
For the runway, Cardi wore Versace Spring 2018, a striking archival dress covered with pop-art interpretations of vintage Vogue covers. She appeared during the show’s section dedicated to patterns, celebrating the exuberant prints that have helped define Italian fashion.
The look connected several eras of fashion history at once. Versace’s Spring 2018 collection itself paid tribute to the late Gianni Versace and revisited elements from the house’s archives, making Cardi’s appearance much more than simply another celebrity runway moment.
It was maximalist, theatrical and impossible to overlook—territory Cardi B knows particularly well.
Adria Arjona in Max Mara
Actress Adria Arjona was another Latina presence on the runway, appearing in a sophisticated Max Mara coat. Vogue’s official roundup listed Arjona among the celebrity participants in the show.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised partly in Mexico, Arjona has previously spoken openly about her Latin American identity; she is of Puerto Rican and Guatemalan heritage.
Her Milan appearance offered a quieter interpretation of glamour than some of the evening’s more theatrical moments, emphasizing the polished sophistication associated with Max Mara.
Lux Pascal in Dolce & Gabbana
Lux Pascal also joined the extraordinary cast, walking Vogue World in Dolce & Gabbana. Vogue included Pascal among the 22 celebrity cameos featured throughout the production.
Raised largely in Chile, Pascal has increasingly become part of the international fashion conversation, appearing at major fashion events and previously walking Chanel’s Spring 2026 runway.
Her participation added another dimension to the evening’s Latin American representation.
Latino Influence on a Global Runway
Vogue World: Milano was not conceived specifically as a celebration of Latino culture. Its central story was Italy—the artisans, designers, manufacturing traditions and creative ideas that helped establish the country as one of fashion’s great global powers.
Yet seeing Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, Cardi B, Adria Arjona and Lux Pascal within that story said something important about contemporary fashion.
The luxury world is increasingly global, and Latino artists are no longer simply appearing in the audience or arriving on the red carpet. They are becoming part of the visual language through which the world’s biggest fashion houses communicate culture.
At Vogue World: Milano 2026, that influence could be seen in radically different forms: Lopez channeling Italian-screen-siren glamour, Balvin embracing precision tailoring, Cardi B revisiting Versace maximalism, Arjona embodying modern sophistication and Pascal continuing her growing relationship with high fashion.
