For years, the global beauty conversation has been dominated by Paris, New York, Seoul and Tokyo. Now, Mexico City is increasingly claiming its place on that map.
A new generation of Mexican beauty brands is gaining attention beyond the country’s borders by combining cultural identity, modern formulas, strong visual branding and ingredients deeply connected to Mexico. Brands such as Aora, Sarelly, Nopalera and Xinú are helping redefine what Mexican beauty looks like on the global stage.
Aora, founded in Mexico City, has built its identity around products and storytelling that proudly celebrate Mexican culture. Its U.S. expansion through Sephora has introduced a wider audience to formulas incorporating ingredients such as Mexican chilies, cactus flower extract and tepezcohuite.

Sarelly, meanwhile, approaches product development from a distinctly Latina point of view. Founder Anna Sarelly has spoken openly about creating products with Latina consumers in mind from the beginning, rather than treating them as an afterthought. The brand has also expanded into the U.S. market.
Luxury fragrance house Xinú brings another dimension to the movement, using Mexican botanicals and a sophisticated design language to position Mexican perfumery within the global luxury conversation.
What makes this moment especially significant is that these companies are not trying to imitate established European beauty codes. They are building brands rooted in their own culture.
That authenticity may be precisely what global consumers are looking for.
For LatinGlam, the rise of Mexican beauty represents something larger: proof that Latin identity can be a source of innovation, aspiration and luxury rather than simply a marketing category.
Mexican beauty is no longer waiting to be discovered. It is becoming part of the global conversation on its own terms.
